We offer a variety of programs in many locations, but our mission remains the same throughout our company: "Making tomorrow better because of what was done today." All of our programs focus on building lives of purpose and pleasure through life experiences, social interactions, and increasing community connections.

The following support options are available at our Iowa Locations:

Day Habilitation
Connecting with the Community for Purpose, Pleasure and Valued Roles

The Planning Center: The Planning Center (TPC) supports people who may have unique challenges and/or personal desires to make school, work and/or work activity setting difficult. This program operates six hours per day, Monday through Friday for adults 16 and older.

The Transition Center: The Transition Center (TTC) serves individuals that have advanced beyond many of their challenges and are looking for more in depth community interactions and experiences. This program operates six hours per day, Monday through Friday for adults 16 and older.

The members of the AmeriServe Day Habilitation team are trained and experienced in creating and guiding community participation and interaction with community members.

Residential and Community Living
Living a Purposeful Life

24-Hour Supervised Supported Community Living (SCL) Homes: Small community dwellings with 3-4 persons residing in each. AmeriServe employees provide support and supervision 24 hours per day. Each person has their own room and participates equally in home and community life activities.

Hourly Supported Community Living (SCL) Supports: People are served in their own home or apartment. Services are scheduled with each individual and provided as needed in the specific amount and type of support required.
