Being
“The People Company”
is about facilitating the on-going interdependence between critical
community centers and ability to self-direct quality of life. Actions and
activity are pursued in the community. Understanding the centers within a
community aids in the ability of movement, options and restrictions and
their impact for persons with special needs. Participation in the center of government and education, emphasizes the need for rules and law to protect and support people. It defines the rights and freedoms as well as responsibilities of society. It energizes the way the society is funded and operationizes the plan to protect those who at times or for life are limited in fulfillment of expectations completely. Education addresses how the society chooses to renew it’s membership with knowledge and skills. It indicates the responsibilities of the members to learn and participate. Participation in the government and education affects all citizens and impacts them differently. Lack of meaningful participation can affect options in other community centers. The business and vocational center relates to the productivity of society. Productivity is a value creator for society and become very influential in the other centers. Members of society who are restricted in their contribution in this center can suffer from the impact of social role valorization – or a minimizing of value role by not contributing. For many, work or vocation aids not only in self-perception, but in societies perception a value contribution by it members. The home and leisure center relates to the activities of family and free time. How a society determines the family unit, living situation and expectations of free time influences government, vocation and all other centers. Family and leisure relates to the important aspects of relationships, friends, fun security and hope. This center is the glue of society; however, without interaction and participation in other centers it is unable to fulfill the needs of choice in lifestyle. This center is the “values” of a society. It responds to the personal purpose and direction collectivity of a society. It determines priority and heightens awareness for change. It is the center that determines what needs are being met and finds ways to respond within the laws and rules. The community and service center responds to perceived oversights in a society.
